The small retailer's citadel is fully penetrated. For years, companies, researchers and sales promotion agencies have been keeping an eye on the small retailer's market i.e. households & consumers. Television and print media has heightened the awareness and changed the behavior of consumers. The task of keeping track of these changes is beyond the capacity of the small retailer. Satisfying consumer has now become a full time occupation of large teams. Such teams can be effective only if they work in pre-planned scientific way. Every small part of the work that Retail Industry performs is analyzed, weighed and then performed by people who are constantly working on meeting customer expectation. Therefore retailing is becoming a part science.
To benefit from any science, first we need to master its essential knowledge, and then use that knowledge in a practical situation. Therefore NSOS has organized this home study course to equip
Retailers and aspiring Retailers (at associate level / entry level)with the knowledge of modern retailing so that they would transform into capable retailers. The course comprises of twenty-two lessons. Probably you want to know about the duration. This is a home study course. The lessons are sent by registered post. The time NSOS needs to serve a student is 49 days. Rest is the time taken in transit and the time taken by student to study and complete the assignments.
